At Tendercare, we recognise that access to information and services regarding mental health may be limited by social norms, cultural beliefs and language barriers. We provide you with adequate resources and information in your preferred language. We recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and humanitarian entrants may encounter diverse challenges while accessing mental health services. We develop and deliver services that are in line with culturally appropriate guidelines. Our service plan to improve mental health and well-being incorporates the six building blocks: healthy lifestyle, new learning, compassionate care, embracing nature, mindfulness and establishing connections.
Honesty forms the foundations of Tendercare’s delivery of services. Our open and honest communication is essential for creating trust between individuals, service providers, and all other stakeholders involved.
Upholding integrity within the care community extends beyond delivering our services. Maintaining integrity is not limited to the care of our participants, but rather extends to the larger community of stakeholders.
Delivering Compassionate, individual-focused care has a signifi cant impact beyond the person receiving it. It involves extending compassion to their families, caregivers, and the broader community.
We are a highly diversified team. We recognise, accept and respect everyone regardless of race, colour and religion. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate.
You are in control of your support and care. We empower our participants to make choices about how they live their life, how often and when to access support, who they want to be with and the type of support needed.
